Advertising Awards in September

In September 20 to 22, Russia will celebrate the finest of Advertising with the Moscow International Advertising Festival. The three-day event will be held at the World Trade Center in Moscow. Day one will hold free-for-all activities on social advertising and is marked as Education Day for the youth. Day two is the Festival for Online Advertising. The last day is dedicated for the award show proper.

The event is organized by the Association of Russian Communication Agencies (RACA) and is themed “Classic Media in the Era of Digital Direction. How to make sure that they are not dead?” (Rough translation by Google.) The award show has been around since 1992.

In 1997, India’s Patrika Group, a media conglomerate group, instituted an award ceremony now known as the Concerned Communicator Award. It is the most awaited and prestigious social advertising award ceremony in the country.

The 2009 event received more than 3000 Indian entries and 85 international entries from 18 countries. The 2010 event is still open for entries (however, as we write, the website fails to mention a date for both the deadline and the event).

Among the concluded award shows in September are The APA Awards, Euro Effies, and Web Awards.
