Are you excited for the iPad 2?

Yes, folks, it's true. Just when the world has started to realize the potential needs to own an iPad, Apple has decided to release an upgraded version of the most sought-after tablet in the market.

So, what's changed?

1. At 8.8 mm, the 2nd generation iPad is 33% thinner and 15% lighter than the iPhone 4.
2. It has dual camera - VGA at front view and 5 megapixels from behind (which allows for 720p HD video recording). You know what this means, right? Face Time!
3. iPad 2 uses a new processor called Apple A5 and uses the iOS 4.3 for faster Safari browsing and iTunes home sharing.
4. The price will start at $499, similar to the first generation.

What you wouldn't miss: 9.7" LED-backlit IPS LCD with 1024 X 768 resolution, WiFi, Bluetooth and the 10-hour battery life. For a detailed list of specs, click here.

Truth be told, it doesn't really come out as a surprise - what with four (4) iPhone models and the endless evolution of the iPod. And if in the later part of the year Apple decides to upgrade to the third level, remind us to remind you that "we told you so."
