Title: Green Pedestrian Crossing
Agency: DDB Shanghai

The idea of DDB China's Green Pedestrian Crossing was to encourage people to walk more for a cleaner environment. Large canvasses with leafless trees were placed in the middle of populated pedestrian crossings in Shanghai. At each end are sponge cushions soaked in green (environment-friendly) washable paint. As pedestrians walk across the canvas, they leave green footprints that look like green leaves from afar. An ingenious idea that is undeniably deserving of a Best Lotus.
